Mangal Bhawan
:
Mangal Bhawan is a fixed facilities holistic basic
health service concept that can be taken as a role model
for community based health care facility, without much
financial implication. This facility is being operated
with the help of minimum staff comprising of a volunteer
doctor, a fulltime nurse and a part time cleaner as per
following schedule.

Emergency medical store
:
The Red Cross Society Rewa operates an emergency
medical store at Gandhi Memorial Hospital premises
since 1992. It remain open 24 hour a day and seven days
a week. It provides medicines at 10% less cost of M.R.P.
Disaster relief
:
We are actively involved in disaster
relief in Rewa District. We also contribute routinely to
disaster relief funds at state and national level.

On 19 October
2006, when a loaded bus went down in Govind Garh
lake, 56 persons drowned on the spot. During
this sad episode Red Cross Rewa volunteers worked tirelessly
and helped to shift the deceased ones to
their home along with their family
members.

Special Achievement on Republic Day – 2010
It was a matter of pride in the history of Rewa that for the first time, Honorable C.M. hoisted the flag and attended many programmes on republic day this year.
(1) Parade: - An attractive march past was presented by Junior Red Cross cadet's girls and boys. In which students were in white uniform with Vogal. They looked very attractive and diffrent.
(2) Jhanki – Among the various (two dozens) depts, indian Red Cross Society run District Disability Rehabilitation Centre presented a deserted attractive prosthetic workshop with physiotherapy and audiology unit. In this Parade, a Child amputee was seen fitting prosthesis, an ear check-up by audiologist for the hearing impaired and providing hearing aid. Our motto was "Restoration of dignity of humans".
Just in front of our truck a mobile P.C.O. was moving. A Young amputee whose Right Leg was amputed in an accident kicked on his bike with the artificial limb and saluted hon. C.M. The Hon. C.M. himself went to meet that amputee and shook hand. Hon C.M. Watched Carefully the artificial Limb made by District Disability rehabilitation centre and highly praised of the work.
Third prize was awarded to Indian Red Cross Society run district disability rehabilitation Centre by Hon. C.M. A shield was given by chief guest.

Special Achievement on World Heart Day |

Under the auspicious of "Spandan" programmme of IRCS Rewa, World Heart Day was celebrated on 27-09-2010 The Commissioner Rrewa Dr. Ravindra Pastor had been our honored chief guest while Dr. M.K.Rathore ,Dean S.S.Medical College and Dr. C.B.Shukla , Supt. SGMH,Rewa were special guests. This program was tremendously successful. It was well attended by the respected citizens, doctors, social workers and media persons of Rewa. Many successful operated patients presented their stories. Donors for the programme were facilitated and certificate of honour.

Special Achievement on Senior citizen day |

One day workshop on "senior' citizens" was organized on 01-10-2009 with the aim to raise public awareness and to invite suggestions regarding the welfare of senior citizen. The senior citizen Day was celebrated on 01-10-2009 Swami Prashantanad ji had been our honored chief guest while Shri Shiv Mohan Singh , DGP(Rt) and Dr. T.S.Tripathi Director health (Rt) were special guests .Total No. of Participants was106.

The Government of Madhaya Pradesh has started an unique concept of Jan Sunwai and Lok Kalyan Sivir "Aastha" for providing welfare services to the poor, needy and depressed community.
Red Cross actively participates in these camps and resolve the problems at its level. Many patients have been provided medicines specially Antirabes injection to dog bite cases and the task of rehabilitation of disabled and depressed class.

| Special Health Camps for Rickshaw Pullers
and their Families. |

Indian Red Cross Society organized specialized health camp for the Rickshaw Pullers and for their families under a great guidance of Chairperson and Collector Dr. M. Geetha.
The basic objective was:-
• To provide free medical consultation.
• Free drugs and spectacles distribution.
• Guidance for healthy living.
• To control accidental situation due to low vision.
• To assess hearing impairment in Rikshaw Pullers.
