"Counseling Service for pediatrics cardiac patients"

Kids like this may be born with some malformation in their little hearts or may suffer with heart disease at a later age due to acquired causes, most prevalent one is rheumatic heart disease .

It is such a disability that pushes the child gradually to doom. Cardiac  surgery is still out of reach of most of the families barring a few elite ones. Parents become passive onlookers of  their beloved child's fate .

To help out such families we have started a project "SPANDAN" in 2003 under the guidance of the then Collector Shri S.K. Mishra ,to counsel the parents about availability of charitable institutes for cardiac surgery. We have been able to get some children successfully operated upon at that time.

In year 2006-2007 we have started  full-fledged campaign to get most of  our registered cases operated upon at the initiative of our Collector and Chairman Shri D.P. Ahuja. This has proved to be a turning point .We have been able to raise a considerable amount of fund at local level to help out more than 35 child heart patients from poor families who got successfully operated upon at one of the internationally reputed institute at Delhi .
